Graduates are in high demand.
Today鈥檚 heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment requires highly skilled technicians who not only possess the technical skills needed to repair today鈥檚 sophisticated equipment but the 鈥渟oft skills鈥 to relate to the customer鈥檚 needs. This career field is not as sensitive to economic times because maintenance of existing systems will be needed. Graduates are in high demand due to shortage of qualified technicians nationwide.
Certification and license options.
HCT students receive Construction Safety Certificate (a S/P2 designed safety program) and have the option of taking the Special Engineers Boiler License and the EPA Section 608 Certification (for safe refrigerant handling & transport). These are qualifications HVAC employers look for in new mechanics.
